How to Holiday from Home!

In the hustle and bustle of everyday life, we book our airfares, we book our accommodation, we countdown on the calendar and away we go! But not everything always goes to plan and now with the current situation, it’s time to change your perspective.  How many of us actually really know about the destination we are going?  If you are reading this, you are fortunate to live in a priviliged society, with wifi on the go and time on your hands.

Turn your thoughts around and use this time as a positive opportunity to give you a little more time to explore and research your destination.  Why not take this new found opportunity to delve a little deeper in to what your destination has to offer, and discover some new things that you didn’t know about?

Get virtual!

Jump on to Google Earth and from the comfort of your couch, take a flight over your holiday destination. Explore the coastline, the outskirts of the town, the valleys and the streets.  Did you know that there was a waterpark close by for the kids?

YouTube some videos.  We all come from different walks of life and maybe our holidays could be enriched from others experiences.

Search hashtags of your destination on Instagram and create a Pinterest board to store ideas.  Wow, there is some great photography out there, maybe your holiday will look that good too with some tips!

Check out that restaurant that you were going to go to, maybe they have recipes online and you can tease your tastebuds with whats instore.  Did someone say Thai Chicken Spring Rolls?  Thanks Salsa Bar and Grill!
