We stayed a few days in Wonga house over Xmas, the house is designed beautifully and is very spacious. It has all the amenities required for a long stay including cooking basics and the swimming towels were much appreciated. It has four bedrooms so 8 people can stay here comfortably. All bedrooms have aircon which was welcomed in the December humidity. The main living space and the outside area near the pool have two fans each. There is a petrol station nearby and Port Douglas is a 15-20min drive away. Thank you Stephan and Wendy for your great communication and attentiveness and the wine and chocolates on arrival were a lovely touch.
‘Wonga Beach House is a fantastic architecturally designed house, right on the beach via a short, leafy walk. This is a premium experience, away from busy Port Douglas, and a good base as long as you have a car. The weather was a bit disappointing for our stay in June, but still a lot warmer than Victoria! Wendy and Hans were really helpful and welcoming. Thanks for a lovely stay’!
‘The beach house was very well situated with a short walk to the beach. The house was clean, the interior was tastefully furnished and well maintained and the kitchen was fully stocked which made cooking very easy. We enjoyed our time there a lot, Wendy was always reachable and she left us with a stack of recommendations for restaurants and activities for nearby as well as in Port Douglas’.
‘Such a quiet and secluded spot – we enjoyed everything Port Douglas and surrounding areas have to offer without the crowds. So much to do up here with three primary school aged kids! Cape Trib, Mossman Gorge (just down the road) the Low Isles and the outer reef all done in very easy and enjoyable day trips. The pool was very well utilised and the house has heaps of space for everyone to do their thing 🙂 We loved the housekeeping service provided after our first week. Wonga Beach is gorgeous and so many lovely walks were had. We had an amazing holiday and are so sad to be back in the cold weather again!!! Thanks so much Hans and Wendy’!!!

Location
Wonga Beach is located between the ancient world heritage listed Daintree rainforest and the cosmopolitan village of Port Douglas. Wonga Beach is a perfect base for all of the natural delights that the region has to offer such as the Mossman Gorge and the Great Barrier Reef. Wonga Beach is a quiet residential beach. The township of Mossman is a 15 minute drive south and Port Douglas is 30 minute drive.
